1968 Ford F100 Pickup
Nicknamed "Ginger," this professionally built 1968 Ford F-100 is a no-expense-spared restomod that seamlessly blends classic Ford styling with modern performance, handling, and comfort. Retaining its original Ford steel body, the truck has been refinished in stunning PPG Rapid Red Metallic and features a custom Brothers Composites carbon fiber hood with exposed carbon rally stripes, subtly tubbed rear wheel wells, and a rear roll pan for a clean, factory-inspired appearance.
Power comes from a professionally built 449 cubic-inch Ford FE stroker V8, producing nearly 500 horsepower and over 530 lb-ft of torque. The engine features forged internals, a Howard's hydraulic roller camshaft, Harland Sharp roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and an Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 electronic fuel injection system. A polished custom valve cover set, dynamic engine balancing, and premium components throughout make this FE as refined as it is powerful. Power is transferred through a Ford C6 automatic transmission with a 2,800-rpm stall converter and Derale fan-assisted transmission cooler to a Moser Ford 9-inch rear end equipped with a TruTrac limited-slip differential and 3.25:1 gears.
The chassis has been extensively upgraded with QA1 coil-over suspension and sway bars at all four corners, along with rack-and-pinion steering, providing handling characteristics well beyond those of a factory F-100. Stopping power comes from Baer 14-inch Pro+ disc brakes with six-piston front calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, and a power-assisted braking system. The truck rides on 20-inch Schott EXL Tomahawk custom wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, including massive 345-section rear tires for exceptional grip and an aggressive stance.
Inside, the cabin has been completely reimagined with premium craftsmanship while maintaining a tasteful appearance. The custom black leather interior features contrasting red stitching, a carbon fiber-look dash, Auto Meter digital instrumentation, an Ididit tilt steering column, leather-wrapped center console and door panels, Mercedes velour carpeting, custom 3D-printed interior components, and extensive 80-mil sound deadening for a refined driving experience. Modern conveniences include Vintage Air climate control, power windows, power door locks, and a professionally installed Painless Performance wiring harness.
Additional details include an aluminum radiator with dual Mishimoto electric fans, a custom stainless 26-gallon EFI fuel tank with in-tank high-pressure pump, polished stainless fuel lines, a black walnut wood bed with hidden hardware, boxed frame sections, polished aluminum hood hinges, ceramic-tinted glass, and custom "449 Stroker" badging designed to resemble the original 390 emblems.
